Santos Lucero Quintana

Mass of Chrisitan Burial for Santos Lucero Quintana will be held at 10:30 a.m. and Rosary at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 24, 2023 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Las Animas, Colorado.  Per Santos’ request, cremation will follow and inurnment will take place at a later date.

Santos (Granados) Lucero Quintana was born on November 12, 1951 in Juarez, Mexico to Elpidio and Juanita (Mendoza) Granados.  She passed away on March 17, 2023 at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta, Colorado at the age of 71.

Santos is survived by her husband, Alonzo Quintana; four daughters, Jennie Renee (Ray), Raquel Kristie, Cheri Lynn (Eric), and Monica Cheri (Omar); six grandchildren, Danielle, Alonso, Anthony, Mia, Victoria, and Melissa (Gordon); seven great grandchildren, Alonso Jr., Davian, Isaac, Xavier, Armani, Gianna, and Gordon IV; many other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elpidio and Juanita Granados; brother, Jose Luis Granados; sister, Guerra Acosta; grandson, Jeremie Dean; son-in-law, David E. Silva; nephews, Jordon Granados and Michael Garcia; and great niece, Elizabeth Granados.
