Patty Schmeiser

Patty Schmeiser, 78, died April 1, 2023 at her home in Maryland.  She was born May 1, 1944 to Harold and Elizabeth Schmeiser.

Patty was a CPA in Las Animas for many years.  After retiring she lived part-time in Maryland with family.  Her interest and hobbies were reading biographies, traveling, caring for her home and four legged friends, and crabbing in Maryland.

She is survived by four sisters, Pauline (Bud) Anderson, Norma Bauguess, Jeanette (Jerry) Dawson, and Margaret (John) Lestina; two brothers, Frank (Tonya) Schmeiser and Harold (Laurie) Schmeiser; five nieces, Mindy Anderson, Hayly Ronquillo, Kaitlyn Schmeiser, Lindsey Schmeiser, and Nakayla Lestina; five nephews, Ryan and Brett Dawson, Frank Schmeiser, Alec Schmeiser, and Jordan Lestina; and three greats, Ryleigh, Cole and Case Dawson.

A memorial service will be held June 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bent Community Center in Las Animas, Colorado.
