James W. Chesterman

James Wesley Chesterman Jr. was born on March 21, 1936 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado to James and Opal (Kinder) Chesterman.  He passed away at Prowers Medical Center in Lamar, Colorado on May 12, 2026 at the age of 90.

James is survived by his children, Carson Chesterman, Holly Pettinger, and Nadelle Wollert; grandchildren, Cody, Chase, Cale, Heather, Courtney, Derek, Colton, Kelcy, and Taryn; great grandchildren, Truvy, Graceyn, and another arriving soon; sisters, Jeanie and Linda; many other relatives and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Opal Chesterman; brother, Warren; granddaughter, Bailey; and sister, Ruth.

Per James’ request, cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
